No need to plan dinner tonight, I have that covered for you! This Italian Meat Sauce is an excellent go-to recipe that all family members will LOVE.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 Ib ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 30-oz can tomatoes, chopped
- 1 15-oz can tomatoes, chopped
- 1 6-oz can tomato paste
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or about 2 T of dried
- 1 T brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp dried oregano, crushed
- 1/4 tsp dried thyme
- Couple Bay Leaves
Instructions:
- In dutch oven combine onion, meat, and garlic; cook until meat is browned and onion is tender.
- Skim off excess fat.
- Add remaining ingredients except spaghetti and cheese, add 2 cups water.
- Simmer uncovered 3 hours or until sauce is thick; stir occasionally.
- Remove bay leaves.
- Serve over hot spaghetti. Enjoy!
- Would also be great to add sausage too!
